Cancer charity Hope for Tomorrow benefits from ICAP charity event

A GLOUCESTERSHIRE charity providing chemotherapy treatment to cancer sufferers will be able to help even more patients thanks to money raised at a prestigious fundraising event.
Tetbury-based charity Hope For Tomorrow, which runs mobile chemotherapy units throughout Gloucestershire and Wiltshire, as well as Somerset and Hampshire, was one of only 23 UK charities chosen to benefit from the 20th annual ICAP charity day.
The annual event arranged by the investment brokers saw all revenue and commissions made during the day donated to a select group of charities and raised enough for the charity to set up a new mobile unit.
Charity founder Christine Mills, who set up the organisation after her husband died of cancer, said she was “thrilled” the charity would be able to expand and bring treatment closer to home for more patients.
Legendary racing driver Sir Stirling Moss OBE – who is a patron of the charity – said he was “absolutely thrilled” to be taking part in the fundraising event.
“It is fantastic that because of ICAP’s generosity the acceleration of our expansion programme means more patients can be helped sooner than expected,” he said.
