Lighting the way on walk in Cirencester

A TWINKLING walk around Cirencester was enjoyed by hundreds of adults and children who took part in this year's lantern procession.

Snowmen, angels, stars and even penguins were carried by little hands above mum's and dad's shoulders to light a circular route around the town on Saturday, December 8 from 5pm.

A trail of light and laughter looped along Black Jack Street, through the Abbey Grounds and around Market Place, to finish at Cirencester Parish Church.

Organised as part of this year’s Christmas in Cirencester, the event was supported by the New Brewery Arts team, who hosted several lantern-making workshops.
