Tetbury churchyard wall to undergo emergency repairs

A PROMINENT churchyard wall in Tetbury is in desperate need of repair work.

At Monday’s meeting of Tetbury Town Council, members heard stones forming the top of the wall between St Mary’s Churchyard and Barton House have fallen off over time, leading water to seep in and damage its structure.

The council agreed to arrange for quotes for repair work from a structural engineer as a matter of urgency.

Dear WaG......

Zzzzzzzzzz.... yawn yawn... A picture might have livened up this story! Tetbury news is synonymous with lockjaw lately.

Do seize the Royal Christmas Lights Switch-On - and, put a bit of gumption in it !

Considering that the wall is between church property and a private dwelling how come the council are picking up the tab for the work?
I see the home owners are able to fund work on the removal of trees in the conservation area
