Fresh appeal for witnesses after assault outside South Cerney pub

A FRESH appeal has been made for witnesses to come forward after a woman suffered facial injuries in an assault outside a South Cerney pub.

The 42-year-old woman from the Swindon area contacted police following the assault in the car park of the Old George Inn on Clarks Hay, which took place between 1am and 1.15am on Sunday, August 19.

The pub closed at 1am and it is thought people may have been leaving the venue at the time of the incident and may have seen the assault, but have not yet come forward.

Witnesses to the assault are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police on 101, quoting incident number 99 of August 28.

You can also give information anonymously by contacting the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org and you may receive a reward if someone is arrested and charged.
