A teenager from Stroud was assaulted on the Stroud Road, Cirencester, yesterday

A TEENAGER was mugged in Cirencester yesterday afternoon.

The 17-year-old from Stroud was walking along Stroud Road between 2.45pm and 2.55pm when he was approached from behind by a man who assaulted him and grabbed the carrier bag of clothes he was carrying.

An altercation occurred between the two and the teenager managed to retrieve the bag before the offender walked away.

The offender was described as white, in his early 20s and around 6ft 1in tall. He was wearing a blue hooded top with a date motif stating ‘19’ and black jogging trousers with red or orange stripes down each leg.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Gloucestershire police on 101, quoting incident number 293 of October 31.
