Grants up for grabs at area board

LUCKINGTON village hall is one of three groups hoping to win funding from the Malmesbury Area Board when it meets on Wednesday.

The hall committee has applied for a £2,172 grant to help pay for health and safety work.

Lea village hall is also applying for almost £600 towards a permanent ramp for disabled users.

And as the Standard reported last week, Malmesbury’s planned indoor skate park is bidding for up to £15,000 as a safety net to ensure the project can go ahead after facing extra costs to deal with flood risks at the Gloucester Road site.
