A TALENTED brother and sister from Cricklade have impressed friends, family and teachers with their outstanding musical talents.

Kimberly Mok, aged nine, gained a Distinction in her Grade 8 piano exam, making her one of the youngest people in the country to earn the qualification.

Kimberly started learning the piano in 2008, when she was five-years-old. Two years later, she won first prize in the under 11 piano class at Swindon Music Festival and in 2011, she was selected as one of just 12 performers to play alongside international pianist Lang Lang in London’s South Bank Centre.

Leo is already following in his sister’s footsteps. The seven-year-old passed his Grade 4 piano exam with a Merit grade last month.

Both children attend Prior Park Preparatory School in Cricklade. Headteacher Mark Pearce said: "What they have accomplished at such a young age is remarkable. Kimberly and Leo are wonderful ambassadors for the school and on behalf of all the staff I congratulate them on their musical success."
