IT WAS a good day for the batsmen in Division One of the SweetFuels CDCA league, with a plethora of runs being scored at NATS.
The home side posted a massive total of 279-6 off their 40 overs, thanks to A Phillips' unbeaten 162.
A half-century from South Cerney's Dave Wheeler was insufficient to save them, as their innings faded to 137-8, which was 142 runs short of target.
Ben Price had a good day at Chedworth, taking 4-8 to help bowl out Williamstrip for exactly 100, after captain Ollie Newman had top-scored on 35.
Price then remained not out on 47, as he and Kim Watson (44*), knocked off the required runs without losing a wicket.
Yet another large-margin victory took place at Great Rissington, where Adlestrop made 196-3 with two batsmen, Sam Keen and Allan Walker, compiling half-centuries.
A good all-round Adlestrop bowling performance and a couple of run outs, led to Great Rissington's downfall and they were bowled out for just 93 with Dan Parker (3-34) being the pick of the bowlers.
At Cricklade, Windrush made a respectable 180-9 with a half-century from Pete Ford.
After tea, things looked very promising for Windrush with Bob Parker taking four early wickets for an economical 17 runs off 10 overs, but once Martin Gilmore and D Monteith came together at the wicket, there was no parting them, and they earned Cricklade victory with six wickets in hand and two overs to spare.
