Moreton mourns Natasha Didcote
The funeral cortege arrives at St David's church
The funeral cortege arrives at St David's church

OVER 150 mourners came to say a final goodbye to 15-year-old Natasha Didcote who was killed in the road crash on the A429 on March 7.

St David's Church in Moreton-in-Marsh was packed with family and friends last Wednesday who paid tribute to the much-loved teenager due to turn 16 on Thursday, March 13.

A bus-load of pupils from Chipping Campden School, where Natasha attended, turned up to pay tribute to their school friend.

She was one of seven people killed when the car her father, Jason Brain, was driving collided head-on with another car containing the Kirby family from Stow.

"There is also a sense of anger that a moment’s madness can have had such a devastating effect upon so many other lives."
Rev Stephen Wookey

Reverend Stephen Wookey, who led the funeral service, said: "There is an overwhelming sense of sadness. Sadness at loss of a friend, daughter, someone so young, so beautiful, so full of vitality and with so much of her life still to be lived.

"There is also a sense of anger that a moment's madness can have had such a devastating effect upon so many other lives. I do not need to say just how deeply the accident has affected the communities in Moreton and Stow."
