NOTORIOUS drug dealer Dean Goble is behind bars and now faces having money and property seized - unless he can prove they were not funded by his illegal business.
The 32-year-old, of Melmore Gardens, pleaded guilty to a charge of being concerned to the supply of cocaine between November 2005 and February 3 last year and was sentenced to four and a half years in jail.
Police had monitored Goble's home for nearly six months before busting his 'professional' operation.
Goble's assistants, Michael Corbett, 33, of Querns Road, Cirencester, and Laura Gardner, 23, of Masefield Road, Cirencester, also admitted being concerned in cocaine supply between the same dates.
Taxi-driver Anthony David, 41, of Church View, Aston Magna, Moreton-in-Marsh, admitted two counts of supplying cocaine.
Corbett was jailed for four and half years and David and Gardner, who guarded the drugs for Goble, both got one year jail terms suspended for a year. David was also ordered to completed 100 hours community service, and Gardner 150 hours.
Goble and Corbett will be released after serving half of their sentences.
Prosecutor Don Tait said: "This investigation was set up by the Major Crime Group to stem the tide of controlled drugs in Cirencester specifically.
"Dean Goble was the principal target. He was at the centre of an operation to supply cocaine in Cirencester.

"He recruited the others to assist him because he had a reputation for being a drug dealer and needed to distance himself."
Police swooped on all four properties and found £250 worth of cocaine, along with £2,100 at Goble's home, while £500 worth of cocaine was found at Gardner's address and £500 of cannabis was discovered at Corbett's home.
Phones found at the addresses contained messages from Goble's customers.
When Goble's case was first heard in Cheltenham Magistrates in July 2006 there were 60 witnesses listed.
Mr Tait said: "The amounts found on the day may not have been the greatest but this was a consistent and quite professional operation that Dean Goble was running.
"Goble was not working and yet driving a BMW car and was spending inconsiderable amounts of cash for luxurious purposes."
Sgt Garrett Gloyn told the Standard: "This is an excellent example of intelligence-led policing.
"The dedication and perserverance of staff in the Major Crime Unit has resulted in one of the main dealers in town receiving a long custodial sentence."
The amount of money Goble made from dealing will now be investigated under the Proceeds of Crime Act which will see any cash or assets that Goble cannot prove he earned legitimately in the six years before his arrest will be seized.

Anyone who knows the goble trash will agree the parents should be locked up too.It was them who got their sons into dealing drugs and stolen goods.We have heard that many witnesses were threatend as usual by these morons and some beaten badly.Thanks to everyone who stood up to this filthy trash family and their moron pals.

Good to see goble behind bars where he belongs.But you can bet he wont be there long enough to teach him any good.Scum born and bred the whole goble family.And you can also bet that he will be making money through some poor idiot who they control.Well done to the police and lets hope they keep on top of scum like the gobles.

Dear (me)are you a friend by any chance? Have you ever had someone spit in your face and do the same to your child in the town centre? It happened to a friend of mine and it was the scum, Yes SCUM, that did it.Doubt if theres many making comments that havnt had a run in with the gobles.They hate the police,but if they stop and think, its only having a police force that has kept them safe from many who would take revenge the way they do.I think scum, is a mild way to describe this horrible family

Listen to you all moaning about some petty crook, the thing about your little town is that you are all sheep wandering about thinking you are all great, then a wolf comes along and you all cry like babies. This man sounds as if he had you all under his thumb and none of you had the balls to do anything other than make nasty comments about his family. I bet he was just a misguided entrepreneur who was never aloud to get on because of his family name. What you forget is that there is now a vacuum in Cirencester and the next big drug dealer will be living on your streets and he may bring with him a hell of alot more than this little crook. You have a point bitter jack,but i think most people hate the gobles because of their sheer disrepect for the law and decent people who didnt want to know them.Even driving up the road, they had right of way whatever you thought.Park wherever the stopped,it did not matter.Dogs not on leads and fouling footpaths, you wouldnt see them pick up mess.And its the kids they dragged into their clan who are loosing out.Like has been said, if we all had their mentallity.they would be dead for sure.

The thing is why this family got the way they were, was down to the lack of action from the public, you all turned a blind eye until it was out of control, then you have to gall to whine about it after no one had acted...pathetic get some balls and fight back...oportunists work in this way, i am just sadened that a parent has lost so many children to a filthy drug...there is nothing like a perents love for their children

yesterday evening at around 18.05 i was on my way to tesco via the lorry park.Just before mcdondalds. there was a dog messing in the middle of the path.Its owner appeared carrying his macdondalds who i know to be cassey gobles.As A MATTER OF FACT I JUST POINTED DOWN AT THE DOG MESS without saying a word.That was met with Whats your effing problem eff off granny.I did not want to join others in making remarks about this family, but god are they deserved.
