21 AND OVER (15) THERE used to be something beguiling about a "coming of age" movie. Its central character, often somewhat na•ve in the ways of the world, growing up over the course of the film and often getting together with the lover of their dreams and moving on to the next phase of their life. However the rise of the "gross-out" film - where the purpose became much more about people doing outrageous and disgusting things, often at the expense of plot - changed the focus. The better films have been relegated to smart independent status and the mainstream has become about being a lewd as possible. 21 and Over is directed by the two writers of The Hangover, who also wrote the script.

THERE is no such thing as a celebration without an accompaniment of appropriate music; births, marriages and deaths all demand the enrichment of music, and the addition of music to any gathering turns it into a party.

Poulton Workshops LIZZIE'S ROUNDABOUT WELL APPEAL was set up as a charity in 2011. The aim is to purchase roundabout and pumps to provide water for water-starved communities in Africa. The children play on the roundabout and in doing so pump water from deep in the earth. One roundabout well can provide water for 2000 people. The charity has been so successful that it is now well on the way to the fourth pump.

IRON MAN 3 (12A) You have to hand it to Marvel Studios. They made the decision, some years ago, to introduce to the film going audience their extended universe - Iron Man, Hulk, Thor and Captain America all got their own feature films and then came together for The Avengers. This was also in conjunction with The Amazing Spiderman & other Marvel films. The plan has been an unqualified success, and so they are moving on to the next stage of films, which will again culminate in a second Avengers film. Iron Man, who has started the Marvel plan off, was already into its second film and now completes a trilogy of the Robert Downey Jr starring films. Tony Stark, the billionaire industrialist who is also Iron Man, seemingly has it all - including a steady girlfriend Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow) for the first time in a while. However the events of New York, in the Avengers film, has left an indelible mark on him and he can't sleep. Added to this a new threat has emerged in the form of a terrorist called The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley), and a number of unexplained bombs, where the bomb fragments can't be found. The key to this lies in Tony's past after an encounter with Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) led to him founding AIM, an advanced biological facility which is exploring the limits of mankind's potential for self-improvement. An attack close to home, forces Tony to confront the Mandarin himself and find out a hidden truth about this new threat to civilisation.
