Railway Children at Tuckwell Theatre, Cheltenham
FAMILIES with children of all ages are in for a real treat as Heartbreak Productions return to the Tuckwell Amphitheatre with an exciting stage adaptation of The Railway Children on August 3.
Wrapped in a blanket of nostalgia, with inspirational storytelling and uplifting music, Heartbreak's award-winning version of this timeless literary classic, promises to deliver the heart and soul of the story. For Bobbie, Peter and Phyllis the gentle Edwardian lifestyle is about to be turned upside down. Mysteriously separated from their father, Bobbie and her family relocate to Yorkshire and, as endless days stretch before them, they set about establishing themselves and making friends in the village. The all-important railway runs like a life vein through the community and, through it, the children piece their family back together.
