The Calendar Girls at Bristol Hippodrome The Calendar Girls at Bristol Hippodrome

CALENDAR Girls has become the most successful play ever to tour the United Kingdom, has taken more at the box office than the original film and is at The Bristol Hippodrome for one week only from Monday, May 7.

The original Calendar Girl herself, Lynda Bellingham, returns to the show with Jan Harvey, Sue Holderness, Camilla Dallerup, Deena Payne, Lisa Riley, June Watson and Ruth Madoc with Kevin Sacre as Lawrence the photographer and Joe McGann as John.

A group of ordinary women, members of a very ordinary Yorkshire WI, spark a global phenomenon by persuading one another to pose for a charity calendar with a difference! As interest snowballs, the Calendar Girls find themselves revealing more than they'd ever planned...

The Real Calendar Girls first stripped off for a charity calendar in 1998. Since then, they have continued to work tirelessly for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research. To date, they have raised over £3 million for the blood cancer charity. Over £500,000 of this has been as a direct result of the stage production which has funded a unique new research project run by Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research at St James' Hospital, Leeds. A portion of profits have been donated by the show's producers David Pugh and Dafydd Rogers and author Tim Firth. Local volunteers from Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research have also been at all performances of the show selling Calendar Girls merchandise.

Evenings at 7.30pm, matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm
