FOUR young women from widely differing backgrounds, tell us their experiences of volunteering in the Women's Land Army during the Second World War. Funny, moving and heart-warming, the women speak directly to the audience of their varying fortunes living and working on the land.

The play is based on reminiscences from over 150 former members of the Women's Land Army and moves swiftly and vigorously through the dynamic and spirited lives of Margie, Peggy, Poppy and Vera.

Directed by Apryl Parker and with a cast of talented actresses this will be a memorable evening at the Kings Theatre.

Lilies on the Land by the lions part group will be performed by the Phoenix Players at The Kings Theatre, Kingsbarton Street, Gloucester from Tuesday to Saturday, February 21 - 25 at 7.30pm.
