LECHLADE Festival organisers have just announced pop band Scouting For Girls are to top the line-up at next year’s event.

They complete the headline acts with Bruce Foxton’s ‘From The Jam’ and Doctor and The Medics already announced.

Throughout Scouting for Girls’ immensely successful career, they’ve sold over 1.5 million albums, two million singles, had four Brit Award nominations, an Ivor Novello nomination, four top ten singles, sold-out Wembley Arena and The Royal Albert Hall and had a series of hit singles all of which were inescapable radio smashes.

This year marks a decade since the release of the Scouting For Girls’ unstoppable million-selling eponymous self-titled debut album. 

Now the band have just released a new album ‘Ten Add Ten: The Very Best Of’ consisting of 10 brand new unmistakable pop anthems. The bumper package also boasts 10 already famous much-loved Scouting For Girls hits. including ‘She’s So Lovely,’ Elvis Aint Dead,’ ‘Heartbeat,’ ‘I Wish I Was James Bond’ and UK number one, ‘This Ain’t A Love Song.’ 

Festival founder Jennie Rainsford expressed the team’s excitement at the announcement:“We’re so thrilled with the line up for next year’s event.

“With Scouting For Girls, From The Jam and Doctor and the Medics topping the bill, this is going to be the best yet. This is the eight year of the festival and looks to be the best yet. The line-up is looking fantastic, 

“There will be over 100 bands and performers and even more entertainment for the kids.”

The festival’s long-established tribute line-up on Friday night will be headlined by Whole Lotta Led, celebrating 50 years of the iconic rock band.
