AWARD winning singer songwriter Ben Maggs returns to his home county of Gloucestershire after an epic year of sold out headline shows and opening for the legendary Leo Sayer.

Ben brings his critically acclaimed intimate show to Under the Edge Arts in Wotton- Under-Edge on Saturday, October 21.

Ben said: “I feel very humbled by my experiences this year, I still can’t quite believe it. Opening for Leo Sayer throughout May was an incredible opportunity. Not only is Leo a superb songwriter and performer, he’s a genuinely lovely guy, who couldn’t have been more supportive of me and my music.

"Selling out so many of the shows on my own headline tour has been such a surprise, especially in areas I’d never played before I opened for Leo.

"But without the Gloucestershire audience, all the people who supported me when I first started out, I wouldn’t have had anything to build from. I’m grateful to so many people.”

Audiences have been unanimous in their praise of Ben’s show, describing their experience as ‘beautiful’, ‘uplifting’ and ‘captivating’.

Ben added: “I love words, story and melody. I don’t think I have a genre, my music is pretty diverse, but I’m told I remind people of the Troubadours of the 70s – which is a lovely compliment. I’m thrilled that people have felt uplifted by my music.”
