THE deadline to enter the Stroud Raft and Duck Race is this Sunday, before the event takes place on August 27.
The raft race was resurrected last year by Luciano and Sarah Magalotti, to continue a tradition begun in 1985 for having fun on the Thames & Severn Canal.
Each year sees more restoration milestones completed by volunteers of the Cotswold Canals Trust and Stroud District Council, and with them more reason to celebrate the opening of the waterways and towpaths.
This year's event forms part of the Stroud Fringe Festival and lasts for 1.2km – so get creative!
The money raised will go towards the Cotswold Canals Trust and The Door youth project.
