A HOST of fun family activities are set to take place at Painswick's Rococo Garden this summer.

One of the holiday highlights is the Minibeast Trail; an adventure around the garden, with stamps hidden along the way for children to collect.

There are also interesting facts to find out about the garden critters. And Hannah Shaw, children’s illustrator and author, has provided some illustrations to accompany the trail. At the end of all their detective work, participants decipher a mystery phrase and win a prize.

Visitors can also head down the rabbit-hole next month, at two open-air performances of Alice in Wonderland.

Taking place on August 27 and 28, at 2.30pm, this new adaptation of Lewis Carroll's novel promises to be entertaining and energetic. Bring along a picnic to join the Mad Hatter's tea party, and experience Alice’s curious world. Tickets are available by calling 01242 572573.

And all month long, enjoy a collection of gravity-defying sculptures. Artist Adrian Gray has created a series of sculptures featuring the beauty and seemingly impossible nature of balance. The works are in place in the garden until the end of August.

The garden's team love to see people enjoying the scenic environs, whether that be navigating the maze, or having a pretend tea party in the Hermitage. Play hide and seek in the nooks and crannies, race up hills and roll down the embankments, or simply let loose in the rustic woodland playground.

Furry family members needn’t miss out on all the fun either, as the Rococo Garden welcomes all well-behaved dogs.
