EVERY summer, thirty young people between the ages of 12 and 18 join together to spend three weeks with professional directors, choreographers and musicians to create a full-scale production at The Egg, Theatre Royal Bath.
Some students travel more than 90 miles in order to be part of the prestigious project.
This year the group are performing The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. The production is particularly special as it marks 30 years since the programme began.
The anniversary will be celebrated with a gala performance on Friday, August 25. Those who have been involved with the youth theatre and school over the last 30 years will be invited as honoured guests.
Washington Irving's 18th-century The Legend of Sleepy Hollow tells the spooky story of a New York village haunted by the ghostly figure of the Headless Horseman. The story was made into a popular Hollywood film in 1999, starring Johnny Depp and directed by Tim Burton.
See The Legend of Sleepy Hollow between Thursday, August 24 and Sunday August 27 at 7pm, with 2pm matinees on Saturday and Sunday.
General tickets are £12, £8 for children and £7 for Theatre School members. Call the box office on 01225 823 409 or visit their website.
