  • SIDDINGTON School is holding its annual fete and BBQ from 3.30-5.30pm, with attractions such as an inflatable obstacle course, zorb balls, archery and a chocolate tombola.

A FLOWER show is in the village hall from 2-4pm, with flowers, vegetables, handicrafts and photography exhibits on display, as well as refreshments, a raffle and the sale of produce at 4pm. Everyone is welcome and entry is free. 

Cirencester

  • FREE Abbey Walk at 12pm. Meet by the LEGO build in St John Baptist to learn about the legacy of St Mary’s. 
  • THE supernatural thriller and box office blockbuster ‘Poltergeist’ is being shown at an open-air cinema on the Bathurst lawn at the Royal Agricultural University. Gates open at 8pm, with the film starting at dusk. Tickets are £8 in advance, or £10 on the door. Visit: shop.rac.ac.uk

Malmesbury

  • MALMESBURY History Society are holding a day of expert talks about the 12th Century historian, William of Malmesbury in the Abbey from 10:30am to 4pm. Tickets are £14 and students £10 from the Abbey bookshop. 

Sherston

  • BOULES Day is being celebrated with 128 teams playing in the High Street tournament from 9am, but also with morris dancers, musicians and stalls. Festivities continue on Sunday from 11am with a tug of war and duck race.

Tetbury

  • A GARAGE sale is being held in aid of Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre at 3 Northleaze from 10am-4pm. As well as a range of items for sale, refreshments, a raffle and tombola will be on offer. Contact 01666 502257 for more information.

  • WINNER of the National Film Awards in India, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ is on at 7.30pm in St Mary’s Hall, telling the poignant story of a man trying to reunite a mute girl with her parents against all odds, with entertaining songs and stunning scenery. Tickets are £5 on the door.
