  • BIBURY with Barnsley WI’s centenary exhibition in Bibury village hall, from 11am-5pm. Continues on Saturday and Sunday, when it will be open from 10am-5pm. 

Bourton-on-the-Water

  • THE Cadence Summer Festival at The Cotswold School, The Avenue, Bourton-on-the-Water, 5pm-9.30pm. Highlights include live music from the school jazz band Back in Black, The Cotswold Super Choir, Peter Powell Kites, food and drink, children’s entertainment, circus skills by School of Larks and more.

Crudwell

  • AS PART of Crudwell Strawberry Fayre’s 30th anniversary celebrations, Dursley Male Voice Choir headline at All Saints Church in Crudwell, 7.30pm. There will also be singing, drumming and harp workshops throughout the weekend. 

Daglingworth

  • RURAL Cinema screening of Ethel and Ernest (PG) at the village hall, 7pm.

Rodmarton

  • OPERA Brava perform Puccini’s la Boheme, at Rodmarton Manor. Gates open at 6.30pm for picnics on the lawn, performance starts at 7.30pm.

Saturday, July 8

Cirencester

  • ABBEY 900, a festival of events celebrating the 900th anniversary of the founding of the Augustinian Abbey of St Mary, in Cirencester, continues. The Regia Anglorum re-enactment group will be in the Abbey Grounds. Admission free.
  • WARTIME LIFE in the Cotswolds, an air raid shelter and home front exhibition, at the former Memorial Hospital on Sheep Street, every Saturday until early October. 

Crudwell

  • CRUDWELL Strawberry Fayre including an evening of Sizzle and Swing, a BBQ plus the big band sound of the JJ Swing Band. 7pm. To celebrate the Fayre’s 30th anniversary.

Dursley
