OVER two midsummer nights, The Donnelly Sisters present an art exhibition with the heat turned up.

On Friday, June 30 and Saturday, July 1, The Pink Cabbage Gallery on Nelson Street in Stroud is home to Lust, an exhibition of art that explores sex and sexuality.

DJ Neil ‘El Dubbu’ Wilson is in residence for Friday’s opening and Mozeusmusic will be spinning the tunes on Saturday.

There will be a pop up bar and the whole event will provide support to Sexpression, a charity promoting sex education for teenagers.

Lust combines local artists work, such as prints from Lorraine Robbins and Sam Marsh’s Erottery with London-based Russian artists Eugenia Weinstein and Tatania Bolotova as well as Karina Akopyan with her beautifully detailed Russian folk fetish pieces.

Rebecca Mason features with a print of one her infamous neon pieces recently presented in her London show ‘Women in Neon’.

Other Stroud artists include Colin Glen, James Kriszyk and Rupert Howe.

Diverse and affordable, all the curated work is linked by a desire to create an experience that is honest, challenging and positive.

Lust is an attempt to contribute to the conversation around sex and sexuality, both feminine and masculine and to create a dialogue ifrom a group of talented artists.
