ON JUNE 16 and 17, audiences at the Everyman Studio Theatre will embark on a journey back to October 1942, when First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt took a perilous trip to wartime London to see how the British women were coping.
Mrs Roosevelt Flies to London, a one-woman show by Alison Skilbeck, explores the public and hidden life of one of the most extraordinary women of the 20th century.
After being granted special permission from the Roosevelt Estate to use Eleanor's writings, the show nearly sold out a 2016 tour and an Edinburgh Fringe run.
Alison has also earned a nomination for the Offie Award for the Best Female Performance.
The performances start at 7.45pm and tickets can be purchased for £10.50 on 01242 572573 or from everymantheatre.org.uk
