THE rolling Cotswold Hills will again host the indie rock festival 2000trees, from July 6 to 8 and it’s expected to be the best event yet.

Headline acts such as Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Nothing But Thieves, Lower Than Atlantis and Slaves join 120 new and underground bands.

For festival organiser James Scarlett, 2000trees is all about celebrating and encouraging emerging British talent.

"Right now the UK rock scene is in ridiculously strong health and we’re very happy to be giving these bands a chance to co-headline a UK festival bill," he said.

One of these, the Saturday co-headliner Lower Than Atlantis, is particularly excited to return to 2000trees.

"It will be our first UK festival since our new record came out so it'll be great to play a lot more of those songs whilst everyone's getting drunk in a field," front man Mike Duce explained.

"Lots of our mates are playing too so it'll be a good time in a beautiful part of the country."

The festival will be held at Upcote Farm, near Cheltenham from Thursday, July 6 to Sunday, July 8. For ticket options visit: www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk/tickets
