ARTHUR Miller’s masterpiece Death Of A Salesman arrives at Theatre Royal Bath from Tuesday, May 9 to Saturday, May 13 as part of a major touring revival.

Miller's world famous, Pulitzer Prize-winning drama is an epic tragedy, which poignantly portrays the perils of the American Dream, established him as a major dramatist.

Widely considered to be one of the greatest plays of the 20th century, Death of a Salesman remains a much-loved classic 68 years after it first opened on Broadway.

Willy Loman is not as young as he once was, and boy is he feeling it. After a lifetime on the road, this once successful travelling salesman is unable to keep up in a changing workplace; he’s on the brink of unemployment, and he and his wife have got bills to pay.

When his drop out son Biff moves home again, Willy decides to give success one last shot. Can he prove to everyone he’s got what it takes?

The iconic role of Willy Loman is played by Olivier Award-nominated Nicholas Woodeson, recently seen as lawyer Robert Thoyt in BBC1’s hit drama series Taboo.

During an impressive stage career, Nicholas has performed in the West End and on Broadway on many occasions.

He starred in the title role in An Inspector Calls on Broadway and in the West End; he played Harold Wilson alongside Kristin Scott Thomas in the West End production of The Audience; and he starred in both Sam Mendes' staging of The Birthday Party at the National Theatre.

His film credits include Heaven’s Gate, The Russia House, The Pelican Brief, The Avengers, Topsy-Turvy, Mr Turner, The Danish Girl and the James Bond blockbuster Skyfall.

Playing his wife Linda Loman is Tricia Kelly, who last performed at the Theatre Royal Bath in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby in 2007. She has also performed at the RSC, the National Theatre, the Royal Court Theatre, West Yorkshire Playhouse, Sheffield Crucible, Salisbury Playhouse and Birmingham Rep.

Willy Loman’s neighbour Charley is played by Geff Francis, who is best known on television for playing Viv James in three series of Ashes to Ashes and Michael Ambrose in Desmond’s.

George Taylor, who plays Biff Loman, has recently been seen in Cleansed at the National Theatre. Ben Deery, who plays Happy Loman, was last seen at the Theatre Royal Bath in A Mad World My Masters in 2015.

The cast is completed by Mitchell Mullen as Ben Loman; Sujaya Dasgupta as Jenny and Miss Forsythe; Amelia-Rose Morgan as Letta; Michael Walters as Bernard; Thom Tuck as Howard and Stanley; and Connie Walker.

Death of a Salesman is directed by acclaimed emerging director Abigail Graham whose production of Molly Sweeney played recently at The Print Room and Lyric Belfast.
