LIFTING The Blues Gloucestershire mental health charity is to be a partner of Cheltenham Jazz Festival this year with sponsorship of Marcus King on Thursday, April 27.
Director of the charity Dave Jones said: “Our purpose is through music, to provide support and inform the loved ones and helpers of people with mental illness within Gloucestershire, and to carry out work within local communities in Gloucestershire to de-stigmatise mental illness.
"Because of three very generous donations specifically for this purpose, Lifting The Blues is very pleased, in the current climate of growing awareness of the need for everyone to talk openly about mental illness, to be partnering the Jazz Festival.
"It is an ideal opportunity for us to get our message across through music within the county at the international renowned and prestigious Cheltenham Jazz Festival in 2017".
- See The Marcus King Band as part of the Cheltenham Jazz Festival on Thursday, April 27 from 7-8.15pm at PizzaExpress Live Arena.
