COUNTRYTASTIC returns to the Three Counties Showground this Easter Holiday on Thursday, April 13.

Visitors can expect an action packed day of discovery with plenty of indoor and outdoor activities.

Everyone’s favourite farmer from BBC Countryfile and the Cotswold Farm Park, Adam Henson will be headlining this year’s show. Visitors will hear his ‘tales from the bales’ in the Ask The Farmer classroom, see him having fun with ferrets in the Wag & Bone Ring and he’ll also be signing his book ‘Like Farmer, Like Son’.

Each year the show has a theme and 2017 explores Fruit. The ‘Ask The Farmer’ classroom will look at all aspects of fruit production including pruning, pollination, harvesting and learning all about the role insects play.

Alongside the farmyard favourites, visitors can expect a few more fantastic beasts: an armadillo, meerkats, lizards, a porcupine and even a friendly skunk.

Children can learn how to care for these animals, along with plenty of stroking and grooming too.

In the Wag and Bone Ring children can watch displays of Shetland pony cart rides and pick up some tips on training your dog from the Midwestern Gundog Group.

Other Highlights include Easy Peasy Cookery which will provide a hands-on session for children where they will be given the opportunity to create fun fruity treats whilst GoFaster will educate children about how eating the right things will help support an active lifestyle. They will be able to try their hand at chopping and tasting different vegetables and also learn how to make fun and healthy breakfasts.

The popular tractor and trailer rides return along with a display of vintage agricultural machinery and even more pedal tractors for children to have a go themselves.

A livestock ring and donkey rides are also available for children to enjoy.
Junkfish will host a fabulous range of free ‘make and take’ children’s craft activities.

The popular Junk Ball Run and giant hula hooping will also make an eagerly awaited return. The Play Barn has plenty of other activities to help children let off steam including archery and golf.

Tickets are only available in advance, priced at just £5 for children £8 for adults with free entry for 3’s and under, making it the ideal family Easter outing.
