LIVE and direct from Ireland, Craobh Rua from Belfast, regarding around the globe as true ambassadors of Celtic music, will be making a long overdue return for a St Patrick’s Day concert at the Subscription Rooms.

The concert, on March 17, will see the four-piece perform their refreshing take on traditional Irish song and music.

Their rich sound is driven by guitar, uillean pipes, fiddle, whistles and the exciting banjo and mandolin playing of Brian Connolly with passionate vocals from Jim Rainey.

Together they mix rousing jobs, reels and polkas with tender ballads and airs with arrangements that are all their own.

The group have made many stage and TV appearances including an Ireland meets Mongolia collaboration on Italian television with Egschiglen from Ulaanbaatar.

The group have released six albums worldwide to date, their latest release is titled I’d Understand You If I Knew What You Meant.
