SCOTTISH band Skerryvore are bringing their unique sound to The Convent in South Woodchester on Saturday, March 11 as part of their UK tour.

Skerryvore first formed on the tiny lsle of Tiree off Scotland’s West Coast in 2005. They have released five studio albums, with an additional ‘deluxe’ version of one including some live tracks.

Now based in and around Glasgow, Scotland, Skerryvore tour throughout Scotland, in Europe, and in the USA, the Middle East, and in China.

All seven members bring their own musical style to the Skerryvore mix.

The more they have experimented with this mix, the more the band and their signature sound has evolved. Deeply rooted in the ‘West Coast Ceilidh’ of their roots, influences from jazz, rock, Americana, pop and Cajun also emerge.

The traditional Celtic roots and instrumentation have remained.
