KORKY Paul, the international children’s book illustrator behind the famous series Winnie the Witch, will be giving his top tips on how to create a popular children’s picture book in a masterclass at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester this February.
For those with a passion for drawing Korky Paul will show how to go from a rough sketch to a full colour illustration, whilst sharing his secrets on how expressions, layout and colour bring your characters to life.
Korky Paul will also be lifting the lid on how to create a presentation package and to pitch an idea to publishers.
Clare Walsh education manager at New Brewery Arts said: “It’s exciting to have such a well-known illustrator teaching here. To get the opportunity to learn from a master, pick his brains and get feedback on your own designs is invaluable for budding illustrators.”
During the workshop students’ will get a rare access look at Korky Paul’s portfolio and original sketches as well as receiving a signed copy of Winnie & Wilbur picture book.
