THERE is plenty happening in December at New Brewery Arts in Cirencester.

Crafted for Christmas, which runs until the end of December, is a building wide cornucopia of craft. With new makers added daily it is worth popping in on a regular basis. This week glass perfume bottles will be on show by Karlin Rushbrook.

From December 1 the Pop Up Gallery is taken over by renown ceramicist Katrin Moye. Nottingham-based Moye specialises in tableware using the traditional technique of slip painting on earthenware.

Using patterns inspired by motifs from 1950’s, 60’s and 70’s her pieces bring retro style to contemporary tableware.

And to add to the variety of hand-made delights, Etsy MADE LOCAL is coming to New Brewery Arts on Saturday, December 3 (10am – 4pm and Sunday, December 4 between 10.30am and 3.30pm).

The Bingham and Sculpture Galleries in the back Courtyard will be filled with work by local makers and open to the public.

From prints to lampshades, cushions to leather goods, this is a one off opportunity to buy that perfect present from a local Etsy maker.

And each of the New Brewery Arts Maker Studios are open for seeing, buying and commissioning special gifts, from hand blown and stained glass, to woven silks, stylish jackets, paperweights, leather bound books, prints and paintings, teapots and coffee cups and more.

Finally, there are opportunities to get involved in making too, with a wide variety of Christmas workshops for adults and children in the run up to the festive season including: Printing for Christmas; Gothic Greetings (Calligraphy); Christmas Peg Fairies and Christmas Crafts.
