TV PRESENTER and palaeontologist Ben Garrod is bringing his exciting show, So You Think You Know About Dinosaurs?, to Cheltenham and Bristol in February.

Ben, who presented with Sir David Attenborough on the BBC One show Attenborough and the Giant Dinosaur, hopes to dispel a few myths and set the record straight on what dinosaurs were really like.

“It’s one of those shows that has a little bit for everyone, I hope it will inspire a passion for dinosaurs and help people fall in love with them”, said Ben.

“It can be a scary topic for kids but it’s not dumbed down for them.”

In fact, Ben agreed that often it’s children who know the most at his tours. "It’s nice that kids are that inspired by the natural world”, he said.

So You Think You Know About Dinosaurs? will be a hands-on, fantastic fun-filled trip out for the whole family.

Ben will give kids the chance to shout out what they already know and discover new strange Dino sights and sounds.

All the things you thought you knew about dinosaurs are probably wrong. Instead of being green and scaly, they almost all had feathers and instead of making terrifying, ferocious roars, they sounded more like garden birds!

From the longest, to the smallest, the tallest to the shortest, creepiest to cutest, Ben will have kids’ heads spinning with weird and wonderful stats and facts.

Ben said: “We have all at some point had a fascination with dinosaurs or thought they’re pretty cool. I want to give families the chance to take everything they thought they knew about these ancient animals and discover the truth.

“We’ll be using the most recent and up to date studies to give audiences as many amazing and cool facts as we can.”

  • Ben will be at Cheltenham Town Hall on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 2.30pm and Bristol Redgrave Theatre on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 7pm. Tickets cost £15.50, for more information and to purchase visit cheltenhamtownhall.org.uk or redgravetheatre.com
