CHRIS Farlowe returns to Vonnies blues club in Charlton Kings on Wednesday, December 7 following a series of appearances singing with Van Morrison, most recently at Bill Wyman's 80th birthday celebrations at the 02 alongside other rock and roll royalty.

Earlier in the year he brought the house down at Wembley during the celebrations of England winning the World Cup in 1966, where he was invited to sing the song he is most closely associated with 'Out of Time', written for him by Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, which was Top of The Pops the day the cup was won.

Dave Jones of Vonnies said: "This is the ninth appearance of Chris at Vonnies. He gets better and better and at 76 is still top of his game. Therefore, Van Morrison invariably invites him on stage at his gigs to sing along with him.”

This is rare opportunity to see one of the greats of British blues and soul in his only appearance in the West Country this year, performing with the Norman Beaker band.

Mia Moon, an emerging singer song-writer from Manchester, opens the night.
