BREWERY Blues in Cirencester's Kings Head Cellar Lounge promises a Christmas party to remember on Friday, December 9, featuring two of the brightest stars in the West Country, George Montague and Elles Bailey.

Local boy-made-good George has performed on many memorable occasions at Brewery Blues and since the early days has gone on to carve a flourishing career developing his own brand of R+B alternative jazz inspired original material performed with energy, and natural showmanship.

He already has two albums of original material to his credit, ‘Have you met George’ and ‘Curiouser and Curiouser George’ which feature his vocals, piano, guitar, ukulele, beatboxing and loops as well as his famous ‘notsobigband’.

George will be joined on stage by one of the hottest properties on the Bristol scene – Elles Bailey.

Elles has been dubbed ‘The New Princess of the Blues’ by her rapidly expanding following.

Influenced by Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf and Elmore James, she has taken this musical art form by the throat and injected her infectious personality and performance style.

Elles and her band are currently touring the UK and Europe, and has spent all of September working on her soon to be released debut album in Blackbird Studios in Nashville, Tennessee.

Both George and Elles are masters of working an audience and are set to get that dance floor heaving.

The scene of the festive party in the cellar will be set by the Prima Donnas – a seven-piece ladies choir from the 5-valleys of Stroud led by musical director Yael Hochenberg.

They will be performing a selection of material from Eastern Europe, Africa and Hollywood, with a few seasonal numbers thrown in.
