MALMESBURY-based theatre company The Last Baguette are collaborating with European colleagues to create a comic adaptation of Dracula, which will be performed in both Cirencester and Malmesbury.
Dracula will be a thrilling comedy performed by a cast of four using shadow puppetry, physical storytelling and dark comedy to tell a story of love, blood and gore that you can really get your teeth into.
The show arrives at Cirencester's Sundial Theatre on Wednesday, October 12 and will will be at Malmesbury's St Mary's Hall on Saturday, October 22.
Director Balthazar Gaulier said: “It will be a hilarious, dark and splurting production, mostly in English but with morsels of French and Italian”.
The Last Baguette theatre company is a group of international theatre performers that met while studying in Paris in 2009, at the renowned Jaques Lecoq school of mime and the infamous Philippe Gaulier clown school.
Producer Sidney Robb said: “We were students from eight different countries that knew we wanted to make comedy together. We are inspired by Monty Python, Buster Keyton and vintage horror films."
After performing in Europe and North America, the Last Baguette are now company-in-residence at Pound Arts in Corsham.
