TWO of Ireland's most renowned Roots/Americana artists, Ben Reel and Tony McLoughlin will be on stage at The Bewery Blues in Cirencester on Friday, October 14, as part of their British mainland tour.

Ben (who has been dubbed the Irish Bob Dylan) hails from County Armagh and has received critical acclaim from radio and press worldwide.

His music has evolved into an earthy fuse drawing from the well of different styles and musical influence from rock, soul, blues, to alt folk, Americana, country and reggae, skilfully fusing all these genres into his very own sound.

Ben now finds himself working once again with fellow Ulster countryman Tony McLoughlin. Between them they encapsulate a contemporary roots rock genre with Tony’s Petty/Springsteen/Knopfler imbued vocals adding a vibrancy to the duo’s guitar folk/roots ballads and rocking Americana and blues.

Ben has released seven successful albums to date, but it’s in his live performances that he is best known for, having supported names like Jools Holland, Alabama 3 and The Cranberries.

Also on the Brewery Blues line-up is 19-year-old Emi McDade, who was voted Gloucestershire Solo Artist of the Year 2014.

This young indie/folk singer-songwriter has performed at BBC Introducing, Ronnie Scott's and Gloucester’s Guildhall and has supported artists such as JP Cooper, Fiona Bevan, Red Hot Chilli Pipers, Kal Lavelle and Toyah Willcox.

Her recent single 'Faith' has received extensive radio play not only at the BBC, but also in Australia and America.

The Brewery Blues likes to showcase young burgeoning talent, and in this spirit 16 year-old Brewery Blues debutant Joe Rees will have his chance on the stage.

This young singer-songwriter from Warwickshire has played high profile gigs this year around the Midlands including Coventry's Godiva Festival, the Canal Basin Festival and Princefest and has been featured on local radio shows.

Already with his debut EP, ‘Virtues’ under his belt. Joe is currently working on his second EP which will be released towards the end of the year.
