THE Cirencester Rotary Club will again be supporting the annual concert by the Swindon Choral Society, who will be performing music by Haydn and Schubert in the Cirencester Parish Church on October 15 at 7.30pm.
The choral society consists of around 110 amateur singers who usually stage four concerts per year in and around Swindon, often working with professional musicians and soloists.
This year’s concert features a chamber orchestra and soloists Rebecca Lea, Diana Moore, Jorge Navarro Colorado and Alex Jones.
Cirencester Rotary Club will be helping with arrangements on the night and will carry out a retiring collection in aid of Arthritis UK and the Jubilee Sailing Trust.
Rotarian Lynn Adlington said: “This concert is one of the highlights of the annual music calendar and we are very happy to support the event, which in turn will also support our local Club charities for 2016.”
- Tickets for the event are available at the door, via the choral society website at swindonchoral.org.uk or from the Cirencester Visitor Information Centre on 01285-654180. Tickets £15 (one under 18 free with one paying adult). 7.30pm start (doors open 7pm).
