FOLLOWING a record fifth Edinburgh Best Show nomination at the 2016 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, comedian James Acaster is setting off on a UK tour this autumn with his newest offering, ‘Reset’, arriving at Swindon Arts Centre on November 5 and The Cheltenham Pump Rooms on November 6.
The show sees James relay the improbable succession of events which led to him being entered into a witness protection programme.
Having quickly established himself as one of the leading lights of British comedy, James has notched up a plethora of award nominations.
In addition to his glowing stand-up career, James has recently written a commissioned sitcom pilot for the BBC. ‘We The Jury’ is a comedy about jury duty, following William, who always knew he was destined to be a juror but never imagined that when the day finally came he’d land the mother of all jury gigs – an actual murder trial.
2016 has also seen James film a series for BBC Three, titled ‘Sounds Random’, in which James invited an array of stellar music guests to hit shuffle on their music library and discuss randomly selected tracks from their collections.
James has made a host of television appearances including Live at the Apollo (BBC One), Live from the BBC (BBC Three), Have I Got News For You (BBC One), Mock The Week (BBC One) and 8 Out Of 10 Cats (Channel 4).
