THE cast of Four Sunsets, a new play by local writer Peter Hynds are in the final stages of rehearsals before they take to the stage this Saturday at the Swindon Arts Centre for the play’s debut.

Their characters may be sunning themselves on a beautiful beach in Bali, but the four-strong cast of Four Sunsets are working hard this week as rehearsals come to a close before their big performance.

And while nerves may be setting in, there is also a sense of relief that their ‘secret’ will be revealed to the theatre audience.

Amid white sands, crystal clear waters and stunning scenery, Four Sunsets is a comedy-drama that tells the tale of four friends who seek out paradise for the holiday of a lifetime.

As the prospect of returning to reality starts to dawn, the girls find their world turned brutally upside-down and their strength and loyalty tested beyond measure.

Expect cocktails and wine a-plenty, holiday shenanigans, talk of the male anatomy and the true meaning of friendship.

Co-Director Jane Dale said: ‘The cast have been working extremely hard in the final run-up to the show and we are all really excited that it’s almost time to reveal the play and its secrets to an audience.

"It’s such a fun piece of theatre, but also has some real tender moments and it’s been quite a rollercoaster of emotions to rehearse. Bring all your girlfriends and a glass of wine and enjoy a great night of theatre with us.’

  • Four Sunsets is at Swindon Arts Centre on Sat 17 September.
