BREWERY Blues at the Kings Head, Cirencester returns from its summer break on Friday, September 9 with a line-up showcasing the very best local female talent.

First up on stage will be singer-songwriter Katey Brooks, an indie award nominee who is known for the haunting intensity of her songwriting and the soulfulness she displays in her live performances.

She has featured on tracks with Bill Wyman, formerly of the Rolling Stones, Brian May and Paloma Faith and her music has been played on BBC Radio 1, 2 and 6.

Also playing live will be Circes Diner. The Bristolian four-piece wove wonderous tales of love, loss and friendship when they played in January and are back in town after touring all over the UK and Europe.

Finally, Kitty MacFarlane will make her Brewery Blues debut.

Her lyrics combine snapshots of everyday humanity with bigger questions that have connected minds and voices for centuries, driven by her guitar.

She has released her debut EP Tide and Time, played on the BBC Radio 2 Folk Show with Mark Radcliffe and made the semi-finals of the BBC Young Folk Award in 2015.
