CIRENCESTER Civic Society has once again organised the annual Heritage Open Days weekend from September 9-11 as part of the national event when historic buildings open their doors free of charge.

On Friday, September 9 the new Barrel Store at Brewery Arts will be open and at 7pm Holy Trinity Church will have a bell-ringing demonstration and an opportunity to “have a go”.

Saturday, September sees most buildings open and several guided walks on offer.

The Old Town Station in Sheep Street, and a hidden courtyard in Silver Street will be open for the first time.

The Mansion Gates will be open from 10-12noon as will the Church Tower.

Regular favourites like the Friends Meeting House and The Salvation Army Hall in Thomas Street will be open.

Full details of the opening times and the walks can be found on the website ccsoc.org.uk or heritageopendays.com/cirencester or by picking up a leaflet from the information offices at the Corinium Museum or Town Council Offices.
