BILLY Elliot, one of the most successful musicals of all time, is coming to the Bristol Hippodrome from October 25 – November 26 as part of the show’s first ever UK and Ireland tour.
Set in a northern mining town, against the background of the 1984/’85 miners’ strike, Billy’s journey takes him out of the boxing ring and into a ballet class where he discovers a passion for dance that inspires his family and whole community and changes his life forever.
The show will feature four boys sharing the title role throughout the tour, Adam Abbou, Matthew Lyons, Haydn May and Lewis Smallman.
Acclaimed by audiences and critics alike, Billy Elliot the Musical has now been seen by nearly 11 million people across five continents and is the recipient of over 80 awards internationally, including ten Tony Awards and five Olivier Awards.
- Billy Elliot the Musical is on at the Bristol Hippodrome from Tuesday, October 25 to Saturday, November 26. Performances will run Monday to Saturday at 7.30pm with matinees on Thursdays and Saturdays at 2.30pm.
