EARLY bird tickets are now on sale for the final Treefest at the Forestry Commission's National Arboretum in Westonbirt to be held over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Organisers promise a jam-packed line-up of activities to keep the whole family entertained Experience a world of wooden wonders at Treefest with a full programme of family activities, chainsaw carving, arena displays, music and crafts.

The Treefest arena will be graced by the mighty STIHL Timbersports team, where Britain’s lumberjack athletes demonstrate their strength and precision, sawing, slicing and chopping at speed.

For those after an adrenaline rush, The Great Big Tree Climbing Company return and children can zoom down the 25 metre zip wire or attempt to scale a 100 foot tall cedar tree.

Den building returns and visitors of all ages can learn how to make their own woodland hideaway using natural materials.

For little ones, there’s a magical storytelling tepee and the fantastic ‘Piggery Jokery’ puppet theatre show.

Chainsaw carving returns this year with a twist, as a trunk of one of the oldest trees in the collection - felled last year due to ill health - will be turned into a creative masterpiece celebrating the amazing life of trees.

For those after a trinket to take home, 100 stalls join the festival and visitors can peruse their woody wares for kitchen and home.

And Love Food Festival join the fun for a third year, offering tasty treats from over 30 local producers.

Mellow music will be the soundtrack to the weekend with local artists taking to two Treefest stages over the weekend.

Early birds can save 33 percent by buying tickets online by 5pm on August 26.
