OVER 200 local parents picked up affordable baby goods, whilst raising money for charity, at a sale organised by the Cirencester & District NCT branch on Saturday, June 11 in Cirencester.

Buyers picked up everything from babygros to buggies, saving money while also stopping products going to landfill and raising money for NCT.

The sale took £6,000 which is a fantastic amount.

After giving the sellers their monies, a percentage of the profits go towards supporting the charity’s work, including the running of local groups and events that help new parents.

Lesley Shipway, Nearly New Sale coordinator said: “We were very pleased to run another successful Nearly New Sale and, as these events are run entirely by volunteers, I would like to thank every one of our hardworking team."

The next Nearly New Sale will be on Saturday, October 15 and as always need volunteers to help.

It is a fun way to spend a few hours and volunteers benefit from early access to the sale.

If you would like to get involved please email volunteers.cirencester@nct.org.uk.

The refreshment stall was run by Cirencester breastfeeding support group, BEST.

The group, which relies on fundraising events such as this, provided much needed tea, coffee and cakes for shoppers.
