  • DISCOVERY Zone -– behind the scenes at the Corinium Museum from 10.30am to noon-12pm. Gloucester

  • LIVE/WIRE, an AC/DC tribute band will be electrifying audiences at Gloucester Guildhall from 7.30pm. The show will feature all the band’s greatest hits from the early songs Dirty Deeds and Highway to Hell to the newer Back in Black. Preston

  • PRESTON village fete at church farm from 2pm. There will be home made teas, children’s games, raffle, tombola. Music from the Salvation Army band and Cirencester Ukulele Band, admission £1, children free.

Cirencester

  • DRAWING on Cirencester, an exhibition at the Bingham Gallery, 1 Dyer Street, will be open. The event showcases historic scenes of Cirencester over the plast 250 years.   • CIRENCESTER male voice choir and Church down MVC will perform a varied programme from each of their repertoires and join together to perform as a mass choir in Cirencester Parish Church. The event begins at 7pm and will raise funds for Watershed Riding for the Disabled. Tickets cost £8 and are available online from cirencestermvc.co.uk or on the night at the door.
  • THERE will be a town walk around historic Cirencester every Sunday and Bank Holiday until September. Meet at the Church porch in the Market Place at 3pm, lasts 70 minutes, £2 adults/concessions free. Suitable for children and disabled.
  • ANNUAL summer fete with the Chesterton Community Project. Lots to do for all family at Thistle Field from 1-5pm.
  • SIEGE of the Hares book reading with author Simon May. Enjoy the reading in the Abbey Grounds and then try out the new trail based on his book. Event begins at 11am.
  • RURAL Cinema at the Corinium Musueum will be showing Eddie the Eagle, the life story of the Cheltenham- born man who entered the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary. Showing begins at 2.15pm, also running on Sunday, July 24 at the same time. Admission is £5.20, concessions £5.

Bibury

  • THE Art of Ed Org is a fine art exhibition at the pop up gallery at the New Brewery Arts. Opens at 9am and runs until 5pm on Saturday, July 30. The exhibition features original drawings, watercolours and limited edition prints drawing on the rich sources of mythology and legends of the British Isles and beyond.   • HAVE a go at the traditional French game of boules from 10am to noon-12pm in St Michael’s Park as part of Love Parks week.

Moreton-in-Marsh

  • EXHIBITION of Henri Matisse works entitled Lithographs and Collotypes. His famous Florilège des Amours de Ronsard forms part of the exhibition at The John Davies Gallery, The Old Dairy Plant, GL56 9NQ. With its themes of fruits, flowers, portraits and the female form, it captures an exuberant, vivacious mood, echoing the poems that inspired the collection. The Last Works, Posters, Jazz and Circus, Dessins and Visages complete the works showing. The exhibition is open from Monday to Saturday, 9.30am-5pm, until August 27.

Bristol

  • SIMON and Garfunkel Story at the Bristol Hippodrome.
