COTSWOLD Breast Cancer Now charity patrons Laurence and Jackie Llewelyn-Bowen welcomed Dr Dawn Harper and over one hundred guests to a garden party at their Siddington home, to celebrate the charity's 11th anniversary.
The annual fundraising event included a bring and buy plant sale and live music.
Welcome gin cocktails were kindly sponsored by Bottle Green and Cotswold Distillery and entertainment was kindly provided by the singing florist Laura Thornton (Dolores x) who recently appeared on BBC1's Michael McIntyre's Big Night Out and The Femmes.
A year ago saw the launch of the UK’s largest breast cancer charity, Breast Cancer Now, created by the merger of leading research charities Breast Cancer Campaign and Breakthrough Breast Cancer.
The charity's aim is that by acting now, by 2050, no one will die from breast cancer.
Thanks to its incredible supporters, they are now a year closer to that goal and £1,400 was raised at the event to fund pioneering research into breast cancer.
- The next big fundraising event for this charity will be the Crystal Ball on Saturday, November 26 at The Corn Hall, Cirencester. For further details and to reserve a table please contact CotswoldBreastCancerNow@gmail.com.
