THERE will be a treat for the senses in Cirencester Parish Church over the three days from Friday, June 24 to Sunday, June 26.
The Friends of Cirencester Parish Church and the Parish Flower Guild are presenting a display of summer flowers alongside a number of exquisitely embroidered church vestments over the three days, marking both the Patronal Feast of St John the Baptist and the 40th anniversary of the Friends.
Going into the church from the Market Place, the first display to enjoy will be a tribute to HM The Queen.
Over 20 other colourful arrangements will be placed around the church, filling it with colour and fragrance.
Some of the church’s splendid ecclesiastical robes will also be on show.
Everyone is welcome so please call in to the church to enjoy the displays and if you’re there on the Saturday there’ll also be the chance to climb to the top of the church tower and enjoy a unique view across the town.
The Friends of Cirencester Parish Church is a charity dedicated to the care of St John Baptist, one of the largest parish churches in the county, and over the years has committed over £2.5 million to various projects.
