Cirencester Kingshill School Year 9 pupils Olivia Burnip, Mia Davis-Farr, Gracie Napier and Kizzy Richardson prepared the following piece about the up-coming school production Into the Woods.

CIRENCESTER Kingshill School is gearing up for its annual summer production and this year talented pupils are participating in the popular musical Into the Woods; a production about a number of classic fairy tales with a dramatic twist.

The musical is set within a library where upon the stories come to life by the power of imagination, an incredible live band and around 100 dedicated pupils and staff members.

Rehearsals are ongoing and Year 9 pupil Lucy Coombes, who plays the part of an Ugly Sister, has enjoyed the process so far. She said: “I have enjoyed bonding with different people and making new friends.

"You really learn a lot from the other actors and from the teachers helping us.”
Year 10 pupil Archie Norrie, who plays the Mysterious Man, added: “I am currently studying GCSE Drama and have enjoyed developing my dramatic skills and I love working within a team.”

He described the production as "amazing". Both he and Lucy listed "Agony" as their favourite song.
