TRACTOR Ted fans will have the opportunity to enjoy close encounters with a quartet of high-tech tractors, a combine harvester, a telehandler, balers and much more as part of the spectacular ‘Big Machines Weekend’ at Bowood House & Gardens on Saturday, May 28 to Monday, May 30.
The UK's favourite little green tractor has teamed up with New Holland to stage a weekend of interactive farming fun and games on the Bowood Estate, near Calne in Wiltshire.
The family event, which is free to Bowood House & Gardens ticket-holders, will showcase more than £1m of fascinating farm machinery, with chances for youngsters to get inside the cab of a combine harvester and enjoy tractor and trailer rides.
This year’s event will also see a number of new competitions and challenges with digger displays, build-a-tractor competitions and big machine challenges.
There will also be tractor and trailer rides around the Bowood Estate, dog agility stakes and the chance for youngsters to enjoy a bounce on the Tractor Ted Bouncy Castle.
As well as all the giant farm machinery, youngsters can meet and handle friendly farm animals in the newly-extended Tractor Ted’s Little Farm and watch Tractor Ted’s real action films in a purpose-built barn, next door to Bowood’s Adventure Playground.
• Tractor Ted’s ‘Big Machines Weekend’, Saturday, May 28 - Monday, May 30 from 11am to 5pm at Bowood House & Gardens, Calne, Wiltshire, SN11 0LZ. Advance tickets available at http://www.bowood.org/
