THERE is still time to audition for a part in musical West Side Story, being performed this summer in Cirencester.
Cirencester stage companies MJ-UK and StageSmart have formed the Music Theatre Project (MTP) and are looking for talented young people to take part in West Side Story.
Auditions are to held in Cirencester on May 28 and in London on May 30.
MTP is bringing in a professional team including West End director Kirk Jameson (Seussical the Musical), and musical director Jonathan Gill (The Lion King, The Sound of Music).
The company aims to showcase the talent of young performers and launch the careers of those looking to embark on a career in the industry.
The course will provide students with essential technical skills taught by a professional team, as well as valuable contacts and credit for participating in a huge scale performance.
A two week intensive course will run from July 30-August 13, culminating in the final shows on August 11, 12 and 13.
- Anyone wishing to audition should register on musictheatreproject.com.
